A 2018 international comparative review by NFER, across 6 jurisdictions, on the relationship between accountability and curriculum. The researchers would prefer stronger data but even so, the wide range in approaches to accountability are clear, illustrating policy options, subtlety in thinking and unforeseen consequences.
