Education policy making in England requires greater support, to compensate for short-term policy making cycles, the lack of systematic evidence and the persistent failure of institutional memory. Below we outline the thinking behind the Education Policy Knowledge Centre, to review education policy in other jurisdictions around the world and then synthesise and present the available evidence and knowledge. This concept has now been launched as CES.partners, the Centre for Education Systems.
